Yes, you read the headline right. Jay Electronica has finally released his album "A Written Testimony".
We're talking about a body of work that Hip Hop has been waiting for, for YEARS. Heavily seasoned with the voice of Jay Z there is a role this record is supposed to play.
As you take it in, try and figure out what's goin on. This record peeks its head through all the noise with a specific noise of its own. Mainly unorthodox movement in rhythm. It appears this was designed only for the two MC's to lay down the elements of their world. We can't really hear anyone else performing in this manner.

This album sound reminiscent of the “God body” rap from the late 80s to early 90s. But unfortunately the beats must’ve came from the same era. Refreshing to hear, but without Jay-Z all over this album it would be a mediocre album with no bite.
