Our city has groomed some of the rawest artists to ever touch a mic myself being one. We have worked our asses off to put our city on the map and earn our respect as a Hip Hop metropolis. Though this is true the fact is the realest from the O never got the shine that we deserved. We made in the industry but we had poor representation or when they got on, all of a sudden they from New York or move to ATL and start claimin that shit.
We still here. We still puttin down. I gotta be honest tho we never really grasped the art of supporting one another and workin together. We became the city of everyone who think they made it. I mean niggas wasn't even known in surrounding cities (not all of us) or past they fuckin block and was actin like the red carpet need to be rolled out when they step out. The responsibility of the business was not a concept niggas wanted to grasp. It was easier just to rap, make a million fuckin songs, do a few shows, fuck some groupies and let our imagination tell us we on top along with the punk ass "yes" men that rolled our blunts and broke down the coke for niggas to bump.
But in time and growth we finally got it but it's time to instill that into the future. These young'ns will be groomed in business and now have the guidance, technology and will to do so. They understand the importance of their publishing and BDS spins. They are being showed the way of marketing pushes and what needs to be done to harness their image. They are being taught that less songs of quality are more sufficient than 1000 tracks of trash.
They now can shoot videos for their singles and have a youtube presence and can build their fan base through the mixtape circuit (Datpiff, Live Mixtapes). We didn't have that shit. But these are just a few of the tools they have that we also use but it's up to us to guide them. Some of us need to sit our old ass down and let the future run it's course because after all, they say it's never too late, but nigga yes it is you better sit yo ol ass down somewhere nigga you got bad knees how you gon jump around on somebody stage? Let them jits have that shit..
Get mad. I really threw all my fucks up this morning with my hangover. With that being said, we about to introduce you to The LoUdLife Crew- Swizzy B, BYGONE and DixiNicole, A.M. and Classy.. Hip Hop Freshmen Class of 2015. They're young, witty, full of energy and most of all dedicated to building their future in hip hop and makin a mark. They still have some grooming to do and a lot to learn but the best thing about them is that they understand that. They not like us in our day. We thought we knew it all just because we know how to spit. There are a lot of jits out there now that are like that but these few get it. Check out the exclusive interview and mini cypher and also we have the links to all of their music. The Future...
