Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty is registered sex offender

Kenneth Petty, the husband of megastar Nicki Minaj is now a registered sex offender in California.

Stemming from a case in 1995 where he was convicted for the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1994. He was 16 years old at the time as well and served almost 4 years in prison.

He was indicted for failure to register as a sex offender in late February.

Update: This afternoon, Kenneth Petty pleaded not guilty to the single count in the indictment. An April 28 trial date was set before U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald in Los Angeles. Mr. Petty was ordered released on $100,000 bond.

Nicki has made claims on Queen Radio that Mr. Petty was wrongfully accused and that the victim in the case attempted to recant her statement but was told she would do 90 days in jail by the judge.

In any event, this is Amerikkka. Whether he's guilty or not is not their concern. He's Black and now married to one of the biggest stars in Hip Hop history. They will hold this over his head for the rest of his life even if there was proof he's innocent of that crime. Y'all ain't learned yet?
