I watched the Netflix Series Self Made based on Madam CJ Walkers Life. It was a great series, so I encourage everyone to go out and check it out if you haven't seen it yet!
We were introduced to a character named Addie Monroe, who through research is Annie Minerva Turnbo Malone.
Here are some facts about Annie:
Born to parents who were born slaves and being one 10 of 11 children. Whose father fought in the civil war!
She created the direct agent sales system used by Mary Kay and MLMs everywhere.
She employed Madam CJ walker and she was Ms. Malone’s sales agent in Denver Colorado.
Madam CJ Walker stole her hair grower formula and rebranded it as her own. 
Big Facts!
She employed women in North America, South America, Africa, and the Philippines in the 1920s.
Her downfall was the divorce where she had to give $200,000 to her husband.
I pay homage to you! I’ve been fascinated with her story since finding out about you yesterday.
