No Malice on Clipse: "I really enjoyed that music...It's made me who I am today. That's not the kind of music I'm doing."
Recent rumors of No Malice and Pusha T reuniting on an album were intensified when various entities speculated that the duo was working on a new album with The Neptunes. No Malice has addressed these Clipse reunion rumors.
"My brother and I are taking two different approaches to music," No Malice said in an interview with Pow TV Rap Show. "I'm very proud of the Clipse catalog. I really enjoyed that music and most of all, it's made me who I am today. That's not the kind of music I'm doing. I still hold out hope for a Clipse reunion. I really believe that we will be able to do it, but any music that I make is totally 100 percent going to glorify God. That's what I do. That's what I'm about. I'm still holding out hope that can happen."
"I believe my brother and I…we can get together and pull off anything," No Mal said at the time. "But as far as my beliefs and as far as me facilitating anything that brings death, destruction and demise, I’m not going to do that."
“Man, I would really love to,” Pusha T said when asked about reuniting with No Malice. “My brother is really on his mission right now…We had the 10th anniversary, 2012 of Lord Willin’. 30 dates, needless to say high dollar number. High dollar, already done. Two weeks before it’s time to go my brother was like ‘Nah, I don’t want to do it…I’m off that. I’m on my mission right now.’ It’s about Hear Ye Him. It’s about where he is spiritually. And he was like ‘Nah, I’m not gonna do it. Just go ‘head’…On top of those scenarios I just gave you, you got Pharrell saying ‘Hey, when y’all ready let’s go. And I think we should just do a two-sided—tell two stories.’ He was like ‘You do what you do, he do what he do, and that’s what we do.’ Kanye is like ‘Listen, I want to executive produce this and if you just want Pharrell to do the whole thing that’s fine. If not, I’ll just be here too.’ And he’s like ‘Not right now.’"
