Los Angeles, CA – February 11, 2022 – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, locally renowned singer-songwriter, Nick Andrea brings his latest solo release “I Fall in Love Too Easily.” In this re-imagining of a classic jazz standard first performed by Frank Sinatra in the 1945 Academy Award-winning film “Anchors Aweigh,” Nick is joined by Jeff Paris, a talented LA-based pianist who has spent his storied career touring with a virtual “Who’s Who” of the musical world, including Bill Withers, Ringo Starr, and Keb’ Mo’, among many others.
For “I Fall in Love Too Easily,” Nick was inspired by the rendition performed in 1955 by Chet Baker; “a uniquely gifted combo crooner and trumpet player,” as Nick describes him; “footsteps in which I humbly try to follow,” he adds. The piece channels Chet’s sensitivity and melancholy trumpet tone while offering Nick’s own feel. Jeff Paris helped contribute to this objective with a classic arrangement topped off by a piano performance harkening back to Baker pianist Bill Evans.
Coming on the heels of his recent solo releases “Half-of-a-Man”, “Superstition”, and “It Will Rain Again,” “I Fall in Love Too Easily” is featured on the CD version of Nick’s debut album Blues @ Dark, a bold expedition into the blues universe seamlessly melded with rock and jazz flavorings. The album is currently slated for March 19, 2022, with a release on both vinyl and CD.
