Singer-songwriter and veteran of indie duo Law & Chaos bare his soul in first solo launch – a gritty traditional blues song, now available on all digital platforms.
Los Angeles, CA – November 5, 2021 – Locally renowned singer-songwriter and trumpet player, Nick Andrea is perhaps best known for his work as the lead singer with indie duo Law & Chaos. Andrea is now bringing his unique style of blues-infused with rock and jazz influences to his first solo launch: “Half-of-a-Man.”
The single tells the story of a man who changes his hell-raising ways – only to find that his woman is not so quick to forgive. It is available starting today on all digital platforms.
“Releasing my first solo song is like watching your first child being born, almost but not quite, it’s just magical to me,” said Andrea.
Featuring producer Craig T. Fall (Eldora Grande Studio) on lead guitar with veteran blues guitarist T.J. Sullivan on Dobro, “Half-of-a-Man” is distinguished by its minimalist instrumentation, designed to emphasize the vocals as the conduit for the story of regret and hard-earned wisdom. Fall also directs and produces the music video for the single to be released concurrently with the song.
Singer and trumpet player Andrea continues to draw praise for his smooth but gritty lead vocals, described by one contemporary as “velvet sandpaper.” He began playing trumpet as a young boy, before taking a 30-year break to pursue a successful law career. He is now back and bringing creativity that is innovative while remaining true to the traditional musical roots.
