2021 has dealt yet another blow to the Black entertainment community. This time we lost a comedic genius who wrote for Richard Pryor and was a huge hit on Dave Chapelle's "Chapelle's Show" to name some of his work.
Helene Shaw, Mooney's agent has confirmed that he died of a heart attack. "The brilliant, talented, one of a kind comedian, Paul Mooney has passed away. There are many stars in the sky, but there will always be only ONE MOON," She shared in a statement.
Paul Mooney will be remembered as a man who did not bite his tongue. If he thought it, he said it and meant it no matter who's feelings it would hurt and he was passionate about that racist cracker. Oh yeah, Paul would go in on them anytime he saw fit.
You will be truly missed. Rest In Power King!
