Over the years Kodak Black has been the subject of so much controversy that it almost overshadows his talent as an artist. The man literally created an avenue for a sound and style of flow, tone, and in a lot of instances a cadence that has now been copied and applied to rap styles all over Florida. Because you have to be from Florida to even tap into that energy.
With the release of his new album from behind the walls Bill Israel, we're quickly reminded that that boy Kodak is here for a reason. The growth displayed in this body of work shows that he is not to be taken lightly even when he's locked up.
This album serves as an ode to those that come under the umbrella of the Kodak Black brand but also delivers a much-needed contribution to Hip Hop from the Sunshine State. Polished in production, delivery, and concepts he brings along Tory Lanez, Gucci Mane, Lil Yatchy, and JackBoy to complete the 11 track composition that is now being received well by the Hip Hop community.
