For those of us who were in the heart of pain-filled money restricted streets in 2008, we were presented with one of Hip Hop's most necessary albums of all time. Jeezy's The Recession touched the hearts of the masses as it spoke to the current state of affairs in our nation for Black people coming off of a Bush presidency, going into that of President Obama.
This record was glaring from cars, homes, traps, and being chirped about as the Boost Mobile chirp phone was the popular way of communicating at that time before smartphones came to the hands of dumb people.
