A judge has ordered Tavis Smiley to pay PBS $2.6 Million for having consensual sexual encounters with his subordinates. He was accused of violating a Morals Clause, sexual harassment, and inappropriate language towards employees. There were 6 women who submitted depositions and testimonies of misconduct.
$1.5 Million includes the cost and underwriting revenue for the last two seasons of his talk show. The rest is for damages under the Morals Clause.
