Snapchat is springing into action less than a week after Twitter chose to add a warning label to one of Trump's tweets. The New York Times reports that Snap Chat Inc. will no longer promote Trump's account, citing his comments cause concern for inciting violence.
This decision comes amid the uprising that was started after the brutal murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis that has spread across the nation with literally no end in sight due to the officers not being arrested but an update now shows that they have been. Users can still subscribe to his account, it just won't be visible in the Snapchat Discovery Home Page.
"We will not amplify the voices that incite racial violence and injustice by giving them free promotion on Discover," said Rachel Racusen.
