Paul Wall is definitely an OG in the game. He proves how a seasoned vet from Houston molded a sound that can't be duplicated even though a lot have tried.
The homie really crafted a masterpiece with this "Mind over Matter" project. "You only ball when you lower the hoop, you semi pro bro how cute" he spits on "Get Mine Forever". This record is full hot bars that are not to be slept on whatsoever.
The production is crispy and fitting for the purpose of serving the sound of H-Town. There are no heavy 808's or bass drowning out the rest of the track and vocals like the majority of these new artists and producers deliver nowadays. But, it does bump and if you know anything about Paul Wall, you know he specializes in bass and poppin trunk.
We'd have to place this in the category of one of the best albums of 2020. You disagree? Who cares? We know quality music. You know quantity.
