This is not about a bop. This ain't a "for the moment" record. This is Hip Hop to be appreciated like fine wine and to last with staying power in our hearts.
If your ears and hearts are trained to this auto-tune heavy, lack of lyricism, overly saturated, quantity over quality shit that's overcrowding the net then this record will go over your head.
To have your stamp on the game in literally 4 decades is something to be revered and respected. To have never had a wack verse is almost unheard of. This album needs to be taken in because if you're indeed an avid subscriber to the genre, you need this in your soul no matter young or old.
There is a lot of soulful moments on this record pretty much the whole way through. Crooners like John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign and Emanny are enough to cover your R&B fix but this is strictly in the spirit of Hip Hop. Other guests include 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Rick Ross, Nino Man and more.
You will be thankful you added this record to your catalog.
