Jelani Maraj was convicted of predatory sexual assault and child endangerment. He was subsequently sentenced to 25 years to life.
Prosecutors stated that DNA taken from the victim's pajama pants was directly linked to Maraj.
The victim testified that Maraj repeatedly raped her while her mom was at work in 2015.
Maraj and attorneys requested a minimum sentence od 10 years to life due to his health issues and alcoholism. Of course, they didn't give a damn about that.
