Rain has been in love with music all her life. She started writing at the age of 7 beginning with poems, short stories and monologues eventually this lead to songwriting. Rain began singing publicly at the age of 7 participating in school talent shows this ignited her passion.
She recorded her 1st song at the age of 11 with her Cousin DJ James Lofton called “Move My Body” during the era of House Music that took Chicago by storm. At the age of 13 her family relocated to Orlando, Fl. It was then that Rain fell in love with the art of DJ’s, learning how to mix on a double tape recorder originally, she started recording her mixes and distributing them to her brother’s friends. At the age of 17 she dived into the world of MC’s with the local group Disco and the City Boys earning the name “Cucci Girl”, which was given to her by the local DJ MC Star (R.I.P). She has worked with Jam Pony Express and distributed mixtapes throughout the southeast region.

Over the course of the last 10 years Rain has entered local Open Mic contests winning many times over. She then started working with the group “Paraphanailya” in 1998 and went on to do features on their debut CD Sensamelia. She also began working with other Producers “Refah Green”, Alvin “Big Al” and Goldphanga. She has featured on Mo Music Entertainment Compilation as well as featuring in local shows over the years. To date she has worked with local artists/producers such as D-Rugg Boston, Phil for Real, Hurricane Faye and Tony Hall just to name a few… She is currently cast in a local play due to debut 2/15 and is currently working on a Mixtape with Sherron “Choyce” Fort. Rain is currently working on an internet radio show called Can’t Stop Radio set to launch in 2014, this will feature upcoming as well as established artist in the Central Florida area."
