Let's be real; many of us spend way too much time trying to please others. We do it so often that we forget the most important person of all: ourselves. There are moments when we bite our tongues even though we have so much we want to say. Times when we achieve something great but choose not to share it because we're worried about how others might react. We shrink our light just to make others comfortable, and that's not fair to us.
The truth is, keeping things to yourself isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes peace comes from enjoying your wins privately. Celebrate you for you.
If you find love, enjoy it.
Get a raise, celebrate it.
If you reach a goal, be proud of it.
Everything doesn't need to be announced. Not everyone will clap for you, and that's okay. What truly matters is that you're happy, genuinely happy, for yourself.
