Earlier today news broke about Common inking a deal with Def Jam and his good friend No I.D.'s boutique label, Atrium Records. Now, it appears that another Def Jam fellow has made a big venture announcement, and his name happens to be Fabolous.
Since making the power move and signing to Def Jam in 2006 - this after leaving Warner Music Group - Loso has released one album (2007's Loso's Way) and one EP (2010's There Is No Competition 2 EP). With a long-gestating second album, Loso's Way 2, under the label still in the 'to be determined' category, Fab may have figured out a way to sort out his situation by joining his good pal Jay Z over at Roc Nation.
Though not officially confirmed from Fab himself, his friend and Roc Nation's well-known A&R man, Lenny S posted the following image on Instagram that sort of makes the potential announcement:
Judging by the caption, which reads "King Loso #RocNation #TheFamily," it appears that Fab may have officially become the next signee to the Roc. If true, this would be the label's latest signing after Jeezy — another Def Jam signee— aligned with the imprint a few months back for management. Chances are this is the same situation for Fab.
Stay tuned for more updates on this matter.
