Remembering Kimbo Slice by Leonard Ellington


Kimbo Slice has been reported dead due to heart failure Monday at age 42. Slice was diagnosed with heart failure and informed was in need of a heart transplant reports South Florida Sun Sentinel. Kevin was a known MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter, boxer and actor became famous for his underground street brawls. This landed him the moniker “The King of Web Brawlers.” by Rolling Stone Magazine.

Leaving the underground fight scene Kimbo signed a UFC deal and made his MMA debut defeating Bo Cantrell in 19 seconds in the first round. Later on in his career he went on to fight the likes of Tank Abbott, Houston Alexander and other great MMA fighters. With his larger than life personality and charisma, Kimbo had become one of the most popular MMA fighters ever. We are saddened by the sudden and extreme loss of Kevin Ferguson. A fighter, friend and family man.
