ACMD EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: BROOKE LYNNE "BEAUTIFULLY ENERGETIC"

FROM HER COLORFUL AND VIBRANT LOOK TO HER VOICE THAT CAN GET IN THE POCKET OF YOUR EAR BROOKE LYNNE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OVERLOOK. THAT'S HOW WE'VE COME TO RECOGNIZE THE YOUNG PHENOM AT WORK.....

Once you catch wind of her witty flow and the undeniable surge of energy this young woman delivers through music and visuals you'd have no choice but to become a fan. I know I am. She has the power to move crowds in herds. We got a chance to chop it up with her and she had a lot to say. Shall we dive right in??? Hell yeah! 

ACMD: I can feel your energy! Yo, let the Apex Coture subscribers know who you are and what you here to do!!

 BL: I go by the name Brooke Lynne and I'm a brooklyn bred rapper/singer. 

ACMD: So first off congrats on the LP. You definitely have been very busy since a youngin. Give them a lil back ground on your accomplishments that brought you to this point.....

 BL: Well, first and foremost I've been blessed into a musical family. As far as my start off, I began practicing classical and jazz music. I competed in countless New York State competitions and always exceeded. I was a perfectionist from a young age. So I always yearned for a sense of elevation and was always looking for different ways to climb the ladder of success. I studied Musical Theater in college as my major and while conquering in all these genres I always stayed in touch with my hip hop roots with different talent shows and competitions.

ACMD: Yes you have have a hellova resume. How have these things you've done shape the way you conduct business in this industry? Especially as a woman that spit harder than a lot of these dudes..

 BL: Thank you. After dealing with so many different people from different backgrounds to achieve my own successes, I definitely believe that everything has been done for a purpose. I deal with situations based off of my prior experiences and I feel that I'm heading in the right direction.

ACMD: Do you have a target audience or you aiming for whomever feels your music?

BL: Music is music. It's a universal language and I don't feel it should be put in a box. Not if you aim to be iconic. So I want my music to touch as many different people from as many different backgrounds and cultures as it's supposed to. 

ACMD: How you feel about where Brooklyn is at in Hip Hop right now? (S/o to KOB Maino, Fab, Lil Kim)

 BL: Well, my guy Maino is doing it. Fab is doing it. Kim is doing what she loves and still going strong. Now we have desiigner who I can tell is going to do great things. I'd say Brooklyn is on a long overdue come up. I don't think anyone can deny that or try to take away from that.

AMCD: So what's next for you? 

BL: Right now I'm working on my next project which I have to say I'm extremely proud of. I didn't think that the music that I've made as of recently could ever come from me. I have my brother Ted Holla, my label partner Conan, and manager Shampoo to thank for that. They push me in ways that no one else has and it has stimulated my mind in a way that I can lose myself in my writing. It's one of the best feelings in the world.

ACMD: Anyone in the industry that you'd like to work with?

 BL: Drake....Chris Brown....Tory Lanez....Future....should I keep going? Lol

ACMD: Since you been grindin, have you received any support from the people that know you? Like the people from your hood, family etc. Not askin for you to put anyone out there because we don't do drama over here but in our grind it seemed it was the people we didn't know who rocked with us. So I ask that with the hopes that somewhere in the world that type of support is givin because it's so important. People don't know the damage it does to us as a whole for us building the brands that can employ US..

BL: Well as you know, the initial outside support comes from the people you would least expect. I've been grinding a long time. And I'm just now starting feel real support. And it's coming from people I don't even know.
