DJ Bigboy is already setting the trend, already known as your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ, and is well ahead of his time. He began teaching himself how to DJ during his senior year of high school by handling the music at family events. Soon after, at the age of 17, Bigboy was quickly introduced to the adult world of DJ’ing, doing parties for graduate students at Syracuse University and Lemoyne College. After high school, DJ Bigboy attended Utica College of Syracuse University (Utica, NY) to continue his education, where he became one of the campus radio DJs. He also continued to DJ at his campus’s parties and other local events in Upstate New York. During these years, Bigboy matured as a DJ, and pursued DJ’ing as a career versus a hobby.
Bigboy’s outspoken, ambitious, and creative personality shined through the airwaves and at the events he DJ’ed, which allowed him to break out of the Upstate New York area. Bigboy expanded to the New York City area by DJ’ing with groups from Brooklyn, New York. He attributes his experiences in Brooklyn with helping him develop his style, versatility, transition, swag, and heavy mic play.
Bigboy has DJ’ed for numerous NYC nightclubs and recording artists, including Elephant Man, Fabolous, Jim Jones, Styles P, Max B, Meek Milllz, Keyshia Cole., Rick Ross, Rich Homie Quan, Trey Songs, Camron, Yo Gotti, Fat Man Scoop, and more. Within the Upstate New York Region, Bigboy has DJ’ed in Rochester at the Water Street Music Hall, in Albany at Sneeky Pete’s, and in various clubs within Syracuse and Central New York.
Bigboy is known for his mic play and jokes, all while being able to adapt to the vibe of any party and controlling the crowd. He doesn’t want his partygoers to “just party.” He wants them to have an experience like none other, with each and every event they attend. His ability to get the crowd to move how he moves and react to the music cannot be duplicated.
